Easy & Stylish Mudroom In a Small Space With HIDDEN DRAWERS- Including DIY Video

Mudrooms are such a great way to to stay organized and really make a statement in your home! Better yet, what if it had HIDDEN DRAWERS with extra storage? I’m here to show you how to you can make a small laundry room transform into a stylish mudroom and still be a functional laundry room, with a little extra hidden storage! All homes are set up different, some mudrooms are in your laundry room, some have their own space! We transformed our laundry room to also be a mudroom and while it wasn’t a whole lot of space to begin with, it turned out great! The hidden drawers are great for hiding when going out of town or for storing in general.

What I will show you below is not only the decorations we used to make this space pretty, but a DIY video on how to do this yourself! Let’s start with the decorations and then as you keep scrolling, you will find the DIY video on how to build and get those hidden drawers too!

Easy Decorations

The mudroom you’re looking at in the above photo is actually small space behind the laundry room door. We remove the door and are going to add a sliding barn door. This allows this room to have a little extra space and avoid the previous door from covering up or hitting the bench!

The sign above the board and batten is from a small business owner on Etsy called Cherie Kay Home, this is where you can find, buy and/ or customize your sign! Depending on the size you choose, this will cost you approximately $40- 131. For reference, I have the 20″x48″.

The wreath is a good amazon find and at a pretty decent price, currently $9.99! You can find that here!

The hooks we used are also from Amazon, we went for the larger hooks to make a statement. There are smaller ones available depending not the look you are going for. My philosophy, the bigger the better! I just think it makes more of a statement, rather than having a bunch of small decor pieces. Be careful to not make it look cluttered. These hooks are currently $18.25 for 5 hooks!

Baskets!! You definitely want some woven/ wicker baskets underneath. Here are the ones I just bought!

The other items, such as the pillow and hat, are from Target and no longer available. Although, I am sure if you take a quick peek while out and about shopping that you will find something similar 🙂
