3 Fun Restaurants In Phoenix - Northwest Valley

Going out to eat is a nice way to get out of the house and try new things. If you are indecisive like me, it can be hard choosing where to go! You want good food, but also a good ambiance to enjoy while you’re out. With that said, here are 3 fun restaurants in Arizona, in the NorthWest Valley you will want to check out! The below restaurants have great food/ drink, a fun and exciting atmosphere and are great places to hang out, and maybe even snap a few photos!

1. Cantina Gueros

25315 N Lake Pleasant Pkwy, Peoria, AZ 85383

Cantina Geuros is by far my FAVORITE local Mexican food restaurant!! The inside of the Cantinas is colorful and fun, and has an overall great ambiance. The bar is both inside and outside. You can sit inside and look out to the opened window, or you can sit outside and look into the cute and colorful restaurant. Outside there is also other seating, with both high and lower tables. The colorful inside atmosphere is carried outside as well!

In my opinion, they have the BEST jalapeño margaritas! It is made JUST RIGHT! It comes with a lime and jalapeños and it’s best thing ever!! Be sure to ask for the red tajin salt on the rim, SO GOOD! If you aren’t ready to fully commit to the jalapeño marg but are feeling a little spicy, I’d recommend trying the Hala-Pina. This is a less spicy version of the jalapeño margarita. It’s also a little sweeter with a touch of pineapple! See the below photo for reference!

The food here is just as good as the drinks!! The burritos are HUGE and delicious!! Its all so good, I always have a hard time deciding!! Now, if it is Tuesday, it’s an easy decision because they now have Taco Tuesday! The street tacos are $2.50 ALL DAY TUESDAYS! My favorite is the barbacoa, this is a must try!! So, come Tuesday, you know where you can find me 🙂

2. The Lola

6770 N Sunrise Blvd #109, Glendale, AZ 85305

The Lola is a very instagrammble spot and definitely one of the more fun restaurants located in the Westgate shopping center! They have fun signs throughout the restaurant, both inside and out! There is also 2 green walls outside on the patio, a grass wall on one end and a leafy vine wall on the other end of the patio, both great for photos! There is a bar as well that you can sit at inside with a nice big outside window to see out of. Or, you can sit at the bar outside, looking in.

The Lola has hands down the MOST FUN drinks around town! They have drinks made in actual pineapples, coconuts and watermelon and they are incredible!! They are known for their brunch, so I’d definitely recommend coming here with some of your girls for a brunch date! Lunch its great too! We really like their wings and hamburgers!

For the month of March, The Lola will have $5 mojitos! They also will have a Saint Pattys day pancake board! It has ALL the fixin’s including: pancakes, fruit, Nutella, peanut butter, syrup, whipped cream and some sweet treats too!! It is scrumptious!!

Hence, if you are doing any shopping at the Tanger Outlets or the nearby area, this absolutely needs to be a stop on your itinerary!

3. The Social on 83rd

8350 W Paradise Ln, Peoria, AZ 85382

The Social on 83rd is a fun restaurant close by Arrowhead mall! This spot is unique because not only does it have the inside/outside bar I love so much, but it has a fun little spot outside where you can play games like Connect 4, Jumbo Jenga and Cornhole! If you’re looking for good food and drink, and maybe a little friendly competition, this is the place for you! And hey, if you are looking to just sit and relax, no pressure! This is still the place for you too!

I have been here a few times and have tried both their brunch and lunch/ dinner items. Both are really good, but if you are a brunch fanatic like myself, you will absolutely have to try the Grilled Cheese Stuffed Bloody Mary. It comes with celery, 2 pieces of bacon and 2 little grilled cheese bites!! They also have $4 make-your-own-mimosas. Meaning, you can create a strawberry orange mimosa, orange pineapple, etc. This is such a deal compared to most brunch spots!! One thing to make note of, brunch is only Saturday and Sunday 10am – 2pm.

If you are stopping by in the afternoon, one drink I also really love and recommend is the red sangria!! YUM!! The street tacos are are great as well! With all of this said, I think this spot is so fun because its great for so many occasions, a quick stop to eat and drink, a hang out spot with your friends, or even a great first date idea!
