24 hours In Nashville Tennessee

Planning a trip to Nashville? Maybe a girls getaway, or just a fun vacation with your boo? First off, let me just say – no matter who you are, if you like country music or not, that YOU WILL HAVE THE BEST TIME! My husband and I went to Nashville on a Friday and came home Sunday morning (basically Saturday night) but let me tell you, I wouldn’t change a thing, (minus being able to stay forever) it was the best trip EVER! I love country and my husband could care less about it, yet it was our favorite trip to date! Here are 8 things we did in Nashville in 24 hours that you will not want to skip out on!

1. Five Daughters Bakery

1110 Caruthers Ave Nashville TN 37204

You’ll thank me later! These donuts are BOMB!! This little place is adorable too, so have your phones/ cameras ready to snap a few photos for the gram! Keep in mind, there are a few locations. The photos I have here are from the address listed above. I have not been to the other locations. They look different, yet all look super cute!

2. Honky Tonk Central

329 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201

This is the one bar you don’t want to miss out on while on the strip! While there are many good ones, let this be the tie breaker if you can’t decide! We went Friday night and Saturday night (yes before our flight lol) and both nights were amazing! Both bands were awesome, the music variety is AWESOME yet still very country. Margaritas here were good too!

3. Old Glory Speak Easy

1200 Villa Pl Suite 103, Nashville, TN 37212

Why are hidden places so much fun? This little gem is not one you want to miss out on! It’s located in an alley way in a historic boiler room with iron & concrete – its a whole vibe! I’d recommend getting there just as its about to get dark. I say this because you want to get there before it gets too busy but also, you want to be there at night to experience the whole ambiance. Its very dim inside and due to the windows from the warehouse at the very top of the high ceilings, it is much brighter inside during the daytime. At night, is when you will get the entire feel. They are a little pricy, but what speak easy isn’t? Highly recommend the spicy marg, hopefully they still have when you travel there! SO good!

4. Frothey Monkey

2509 12th Ave S Nashville TN 37204

This is a great place to stop for breakfast! I also wasn’t mad one bit at their oat milk latte! This restaurant happens to be across the street from Reese Witherspoon’s “Draper James”. Now, the only disappointment here, is that I read somewhere when you enter the store, they offer you a spiked sweet tea. Well, that wasn’t the case! You’ve been warned!

5. Prince’s Hot Chicken

5055 Broadway Place Stall# 2268 Nashville, TN 37203

Everyone is going to tell you to try the hot chicken. Well, YES you must try it, it’s DELICIOUS! However, don’t get sucked into only the tourist spots! A local recommended that we try Prince’s Hot Chicken in the Assembly Food Hall instead of going to Hattie B’s! It was SO good! It is A LOT less busy than Hattie B’s as well. Now, I hear Hattie B’s is really good too. So, this really just depends what experience your looking for and if you like a crowd or not.

6. Black Rabbit

218 3rd Ave N, Nashville, TN 37201

This place is great because while every other bar in Nashville is serving $10+ drink, BlackRabbit has $5 happy hours drinks – this is a huge deal being that you are in downtown Nashville!! What’s even more awesome is that the happy hour drinks are LEGIT, no BS house wines if you know what I mean. Im talking quality margaritas, good liquor, good wine, the GOOD stuff!

7. Ameilia’s Flower Truck

If you haven’t seen this flower truck all over Instagram, where have you been?! Definitely stop by to snap some photos! The truck is not available all year round so check out their instagram as they keep it really updated on when the truck is available!

8. Printers Alley

If you need a little break from drinking and want to see some historical landmark, check out Printers Alley at night! This is a famous alley in downtown Nashville between Third and Fourth Ave, it’s a historic and charming little spot with a lot of lights!

Rooftop bars:

Definitely go, but if your limited on time, just do one as they are all really similar, in my opinion. If you are trying to experience the full Nashville feel, try Tootsies, or Roberts Western Bar as these are the original honkey Tonks and are really cool! These however, are not rooftop bars but are 3 stories high.

I hope this helps you plan your trip! Im certain you will enjoy everything listed in this article. If you have a short stay like we did, you CAN get to all of these and you will be so glad the you did!
