Fun Things To Do In Fayetteville NC

Whether you are new to the area or just passing through, here are a few fun things to do while in Fayetteville North Carolina!

Fun Things To Do- Downtown Fayetteville

Downtown Fayetteville should be one of the first on your list of places to stop by. It’s a cute little town with a lot of fun hidden gems. I’ll list below a few favorites you won’t want to miss while your in town!

Hay Street

222 Hay St, Fayetteville, NC 28301

This is a block filled with historic buildings, coffee shops, restaurants and a wine cafe. This is a great area to snap a few photos! You will see antique shopping, boutiques, a gorgeous church and some railroad tracks! It is so rustic and cute! There is definitely fun things to do for everyone while in downtown Fayetteville NC.

You can also walk behind the shops to a little running river where there’s a slew of colorful flowers and trees. Its a perfect spot to stop for a little scenic view.

Rude Awakening Coffee House

227 Hay St, Fayetteville, NC 28301

Rude Awakening is right in the middle of downtown Fayetteville and is a definite must try while in the area! We visited so many coffee shops while in Fayetteville and Rude Awakening had hands down the BEST coffee. Also, it’s the perfect spot to stop for photos! The courtyard in the back is so rustic and has a fun antique feel! This is a perfect spot to hang out with friends and catch up.

If you are in Downtown Fayetteville, this is a MUST try. I ordered an oat milk latte, and it was perfect both hot and cold. I hear they have really great smoothies but I was so stuck on their coffee I didn’t get a chance to try them! There are about 3 or so coffee shops on the same block, and this was by far my favorite! You can also ask for a map of downtown to get an idea of what else is around! You can check out their website and get more information here.

Downtown Fayetteville Farmers Market

325 Franklin St, Fayetteville, NC 28301

Who doesn’t love a good farmers market? These seem to be on a weekend basis, but can vary due to vendors and COVID, so you may want to double check before heading out. There are other fun things to check out while downtown, so you can’t go wrong even if the farmers market isn’t available. You can check out the Fayetteville tourism website to confirm here.

After you explore Downtown Fayetteville, there’s a few other places worth putting on your radar. Below I’ll list a few fun places I came across and can’t wait to return back to!

Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar

1800 Skibo Rd Ste 332, Fayetteville, NC 28303

Bad Daddy’s is such a fun spot for so many reasons! First, lets start with the food! The burgers are HUGE and they are AMAZING! The one I ordered had jalapeño bacon… omg it was to die for!! Secondly, the cocktails! I tried the Daddy’s Dragonfruit cocktail and the Raspberry Mojito – so darn good!! This restaurant is filled with fun old school decor and has a really fun overall vibe! To top if off, the staff was incredibly nice!

Now, at night, they have an area in the front that turns into a cute little spot where you can drink and hang out. So cool!! While I didn’t get a chance to experience the night life at Bad Daddy’s, I heard so many people talking about how fun it was! I’ll definitely be returning here on my next trip back! All in in, this was one of my favorite spots to eat in Fayetteville! It was fun and it was really good! You can check out their website and full menu here!
